This Yoga Beach Retreat is a wonderful mindfulness retreat in Greece, near Athens. It is organised in the wonderful Marathon Beach Resort, right on the sea, in the non-touristy town of Nea Makri. We are inviting you to join us to practice with like minded people yoga, meditation and intuitive art. Get ready to meditate on the beach every morning, further your yoga practice in the tranquil garden of our hotel and get creative outdoors in the afternoons.

In the mornings, outdoor silent practices will help you let go of the ordinary life. During the afternoon, you will be encouraged to create intuitively different art projects and journaling.

Andi and Claire organised countless yoga and art workshops over the past decade in the UK and Greece. 

YOUR TEACHERS

Andi Szentgyorgyi is a certified Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Wellness Therapist. She teaches yoga, mindfulness, various types of meditation at her own Studio, Hamsa. She works in Drosia, North of Athens and online. She consults her patients world wide. She is an expert in stress reduction, guiding meditations and intuitive healing.

Claire Yvonne Webb is a ceramic artist who runs her own ceramic painting shop in the UK. She teaches intuitive painting and is a well respected member of her community. She is the initiator of many community based projects in Market Harborough, Leicestershire (UK).

Andi and Claire lead several common mindfulness workshops in the past 10 years. They are both therapists of their own fields and approach their craft with care and devotion. Their classes are hugely accessible.

There are many flights to Athens, Venizelos Airport, Greece from all over the World. 

HOW DO I GET TO HAMSA BEACH RETREAT IN GREECE

You will need to fly to Athens Venizelos Airport. You will be picked up from the airport by the taxi driver of Marathon Beach Resort. Expect a 30-minute drive to arrive to the town of Nea Makri.

INTUITIVE ART SESSION OUTDOORS DURING HAMSA YOGA BEACH RETREAT  

The weather conditions are perfect for doing art and yoga outdoors, and this is exactly what you will do with us in Greece.

Walks in nature during the afternoons will offer plenty of inspiration for getting creative.

We will make sure there is enough quiet time for contemplation, which is essential for art projects.

Some of the art projects will be: pebble painting, bubble blowing, collecting flowers, and leaves, and painting with edible ingredients.

Enjoy learning new techniques and explore your creativity through art.

Through our yoga and art practices you will be able to rest and relax. We offer a safe place where you can truly renew your energies and rejuvenate your mind. Everything is organised for you, so you can simply concentrate on yourself.

2. NOTICE WHEN YOU FEEL UNWELL

During your time in Greece, you will be reminded to discover some of those feelings that you might have forgotten long time ago. Through our cleansing practices you will have a chance to better understand your mental processes, and what is means for you to ‘feel unwell’ and ‘well’. 

Art is healing. During the afternoons you will have a chance to play with shapes, colours and create mindful art. 

3. GO OUTDOORS

You will spend most of your time outdoors during this retreat. It will be inspiring to be amongst positive and purposeful people. 

4. PRACTICE GRATITUDE

Gratitude is the act of being thankful. When you feel grateful (filled with gratitude) you instantly appreciate your surrounding. Gratitude will be practiced daily through meditation and art projects in our retreat. There will be time to do journaling (e.g. listing your positive emotions), and to create art during the afternoons.

If you enjoy doing yoga and art you will surely like our retreat. We designed our programmes in the hope of helping you to relax and have an unforgettable time.

While you do your yoga practices your beloved can swim, surf or simply go for an excursion in the area. The near by mountain offers brilliant hiking spots.

In conclusion, there is plenty to do in our hotel and its’ immediate area even if someone does not want to follow our programme. Easily accessible restaurants offering gorgeous food, playgrounds, sea-front walks, surfing and boating options are all available for your family if you opt for bringing them along.
